A message to the Counterfeit…
There comes a time when the Spirit no longer whispers but roars. When the mercy extended has been met not with repentance, but with arrogance. When the Word of God has been twisted so violently by religious hands that it no longer resembles Christ but reflects the image of the accuser. This deep dive is not for the fainthearted. It is not for the soft-handed theologian seeking approval. This is for the bold, the broken, and the burning—those who see what is being done in the name of God and refuse to remain silent.
This is not a plea. It is a declaration.
When men and women wield the gospel as a sword to condemn others for how they were made—when they preach that same-sex orientation itself is sin—they have not only abandoned the gospel, they have invited judgment upon themselves. They have replaced compassion with condemnation, grace with law, and Christ with their own agenda. This is not merely error. It is heresy. And heresy has consequences.
1. Preaching That Biological Same-Sex Orientation Is Sin:
To accuse someone of sin merely for their orientation and existence, (save the human carnal state of sin) is to create a new gospel—one that neither Christ nor the apostles ever preached. The gospel is good news for all, not a verdict of condemnation for the way one is born. Paul makes this clear when he says, “If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed [ἀνάθεμα]” (Galatians 1:9). This is no light word. Anathema means to be cut off, devoted to destruction, cursed. Those who preach condemnation in place of compassion invite this very curse. Not by human hands, but by divine decree.
2. Misrepresenting God’s Nature by Condemning His Creation:
To claim that someone’s biological identity is sinful is to accuse the Creator Himself of error. This is not just doctrinal misstep—it is blasphemy. In Greek, this is “βλασφημία” (vlas-fee-MEE-ah)—slander, particularly against God. “Woe to him who quarrels with his Maker… Will the clay say to the potter, ‘What are you doing?'” (Isaiah 45:9). And again, “Every careless word that people speak, they shall give an accounting for it in the day of judgment” (Matthew 12:36). These people will be judged not for how well they defended tradition, but for how gravely they misrepresented God’s character.
3. Adding to the Gospel Through Legalism and Condemnation:
Jesus came to set the captives free. When someone adds requirements to the gospel—especially requirements rooted in prejudice—they nullify the grace of Christ. “They tie up heavy burdens and lay them on men’s shoulders…” (Matthew 23:4). Paul says of such teachers, “You who are trying to be justified by the law have been alienated from Christ” (Galatians 5:4). Alienated. Cut off. Because in their pursuit of purity, they have forsaken mercy. They have built a gospel of conditions, and in doing so, removed themselves from the covenant of grace.
4. Shutting the Door of the Kingdom in People’s Faces:
Christ’s harshest rebuke was for those who thought themselves gatekeepers. “Woe to you… you shut the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to” (Matthew 23:13). When someone uses the gospel to exclude rather than invite, they become not a servant of Christ, but an enemy of the cross. They will not enter, and they hinder those who would. They claim to defend truth, but they are spiritual saboteurs. And the woe of God is upon them.
5. Causing Others to Stumble:
Every young believer driven to despair, every soul crushed under shame, every person who turns from Christ because they were told God hated them for how they were made—these wounds have a source. And that source will be held accountable. Jesus said, “It would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea” (Matthew 18:6). Let that sink in. Better drowned than to face what God has reserved for those who cause His little ones to stumble.
6. Bearing False Witness About the Gospel:
When preachers claim that the gospel excludes the very people Christ came to save, they become false witnesses. Greek: “ψευδομαρτυρέω”(psehv-do-mar-tee-REH-o)—to give false testimony. “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor” (Exodus 20:16). And Revelation leaves no ambiguity: “Outside [the city] are the dogs… and everyone who loves and practices lying” (Revelation 22:15). These people stand outside the gates of the kingdom they claimed to defend. Their reward is exclusion, for they have built walls where God commanded bridges.
Conclusion: The Seal of Condemnation This is not a warning. It is a declaration.
To those who preach condemnation over grace, law over liberty, exclusion over embrace—you are not defenders of truth. You are enemies of the gospel. You are the Pharisees of this generation, whitewashed tombs filled with death, holding the keys to a kingdom you will never enter. You wield the Scriptures as a weapon, but God sees the blood on your hands. And that blood cries out.
You inherit the curse. Not because we say so, but because Scripture has already sealed your fate.
“They profess to know God, but by their deeds they deny Him” (Titus 1:16).
The gospel is not your property. It is the unearned mercy of a crucified Savior. And every word of judgment you spoke over God’s children—He will now speak over you.
You have preached damnation.
And it finds its home in you.
