A message to the Believer….
The Myth of the Care Bear Christian
There’s a lie being preached in culture and absorbed by even some in the church: that Christians are soft, docile, smile-and-nod doormats who avoid confrontation and float through life like cartoon clouds whispering love and forgiveness to evil. That image is not biblical—it’s blasphemous.
The truth? From Genesis to Revelation, the children of God have always been protected, armed, and dangerous to darkness. In the Old Testament, God physically annihilated His enemies for the sake of His people. In the New Testament, He empowers His people to become divine weapons. And when He tells us to pray for our enemies, it isn’t because they’re safe—it’s because they’re in danger of His wrath. We are not unarmed. We are not exposed. We are not weak. We are protected. We are lethal. And we are not to be played with.
OLD TESTAMENT – THE GOD WHO WAGES WAR FOR HIS PEOPLE
Genesis 12:3 – “And I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse.”
God didn’t wait for a reason—He made a promise. Anyone who blessed Abraham received favor. But the moment someone opposed or cursed God’s chosen, a divine curse fell on them like a trap set in the ground. This was a spiritual contract. Oppose His people, and you invite destruction—not maybe, not eventually—but inevitably.
Exodus 15:3 – “The Lord is a warrior; The Lord is His name.”
God isn’t a passive observer. He’s a warrior by identity. Pharaoh challenged Him, and God turned Egypt into a war zone. Rivers became blood. The sky rained hail and fire. Families wailed as their firstborns died. Then He split the sea and drowned an army in its grave. That’s what happens when you mess with God’s covenant people.
Numbers 16:32 – “And the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them, their households, and all the people who belonged to Korah.”
Korah challenged God’s chosen leader. God didn’t send a memo—He tore open the ground. It swallowed men, tents, possessions, and legacy in one divine gulp. The earth closed back up like it never happened. That’s not theater. That’s a heaven-backed elimination of rebellion.
Joshua 10:26 – “Afterward Joshua struck them and put them to death, and he hanged them on five trees…”
These were kings. Military leaders. Men of influence. But they stood in the way of Israel. So God handed them over for execution. Joshua didn’t negotiate. He slaughtered and displayed them publicly because when God says “possess the land,” no man has the right to stand in the way.
Psalm 105:15 – “Do not touch My anointed ones, and do not harm My prophets.”
This isn’t sweet advice. It’s a cosmic death warrant. The anointed are protected by a God who never sleeps, never misses, and always repays. You don’t even have to lay a hand—just touching one of His mentally, spiritually, emotionally, or verbally is enough to bring divine consequence.
God didn’t just watch over His people—He fought for them. He didn’t tolerate interference. He crushed it. And that God? He hasn’t changed. The battlefield has. The covenant has evolved. But the God of war still fights for His own.
NEW TESTAMENT – DIFFERENT BATTLEFIELD, SAME GOD, SAME WRATH
2 Corinthians 10:4 – “For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses.”
Picture a soldier standing in silence, but radiating heat like a nuclear reactor. You can’t see the sword, but you will feel its strike. Christians now fight ideologies, spiritual deceptions, and invisible rulers of darkness. And when the Word of God is spoken in truth—it destroys strongholds. This is no friendly debate. This is war with heavenly artillery.
Acts 13:10–11 – “You son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness… behold, the hand of the Lord is upon you, and you will be blind.”
Paul doesn’t smile and offer counseling. He calls down judgment. Elymas goes blind, not because of Paul’s mood—but because the Holy Spirit executed divine sentencing. This is what happens when you interfere with the movement of God. The next person who tries might lose more than just their sight.
1 Corinthians 5:5 – “Turn such a person over to Satan for the destruction of his body, so that his spirit may be saved.”
This isn’t a metaphor. It’s a spiritual death sentence with a sliver of mercy. The body gets exposed to Satan’s torment, but the soul might crawl back to God. If you think Christianity avoids conflict, try telling that to the man who was spiritually evicted from the house of grace.
1 Timothy 1:20 – “Among these are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I handed over to Satan…”
Paul doesn’t hint. He names names. He writes it publicly. These weren’t unbelievers. They were counterfeits—wolves in sheep’s clothing. And Paul shows us that in the New Testament, spiritual leadership still swings the sword when God’s truth is under siege.
Acts 5:9–10 – “Behold, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door… And immediately she fell at his feet and died.”
Ananias and Sapphira lied in front of the apostles—but dropped dead in front of the Spirit. God was saying, “You don’t fake holiness and walk away breathing.” The modern church forgets that the Holy Spirit is not passive—He is dangerous when lied to.
Revelation 19:15 – “From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations…”
When Jesus returns, He’s not bringing lilies and lullabies. He’s bringing a mouthful of judgment. He speaks, and nations fall. The world mocked the Lamb—but the Lion is coming. And when He roars, there will be no debate, no confusion, only devastation for His enemies.
WHY GOD SAYS PRAY FOR YOUR ENEMIES
Matthew 5:44–45 – “But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may prove yourselves to be sons of your Father who is in heaven.”
This isn’t a plea to be nice. It’s a warning label. When God tells you to pray for your enemies, it’s because His wrath is already moving in their direction. You’re being given a chance to stand in the way—to hold off the consuming fire. If you don’t intercede, they may not survive what’s coming.
Romans 12:19 – “Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God.”
That “room” isn’t empty. It’s the space where God shows up to fight for you. He’s the One who settles the score. When someone touches His child, they’re on a spiritual hit list—and you’re the reason judgment hasn’t dropped yet.
Nahum 1:3 – “The Lord is slow to anger and great in power, but the Lord will by no means leave the guilty unpunished.”
His slowness isn’t weakness—it’s grace. But once that grace expires, justice is swift. If you’re watching someone mock God and nothing happens? That’s just the countdown.
Zechariah 2:8 – “The one who touches you, touches the apple of His eye.”
That means God takes it personally. They thought they were attacking you. What they actually did was poke Yahweh in the eyeball. How do you think He’s going to respond?
Psalm 35:5–6 – “Let them be like chaff before the wind, with the angel of the Lord driving them on!”
David’s prayer isn’t poetic—it’s tactical. He invokes divine combat and calls on angels to pursue his enemies. When a real believer prays like this, heaven listens—and enemies scatter.
THE DECLARATION THEY NEED TO HEAR
Let this be known, without apology, and without dilution: We are not weak. We are not victims. We are not silent, passive, fragile souls floating through enemy territory.
We are anointed. We are armed. We are backed by heaven.
The Lord fights for us. The Holy Spirit lives in us. And the power that raised Christ from the dead moves through us. We are not just protected—we are dangerous to hell, destructive to lies, and devastating to anything that opposes God’s truth.
So to every counterfeit, every persecutor, every enemy of the cross: this is not a threat. This is a promise.
You touch one of His, and judgment comes. You mock one of His, and heaven takes notice. You slander one of His, and wrath gets scheduled.
You may not see the sword, but it’s drawn. You may not feel the fire—yet—but it’s burning.
Check yourself. Or wreckage will follow.
Because we do not represent ourselves. We represent the Lion of Judah. And the Lion never forgets who roars against His own.
Even now, if there is still doubt, by all means….feel free to test our position on this at your own discretion.
