To whom it may concern…

There is a truth that has been buried under centuries of tradition, translation, and substitution, yet it stands like a mountain in the pages of Scripture, unmoved and unshaken by the erosion of human invention. That truth is the singularity of the gospel, the besorah, the euangelion, the only true proclamation of salvation: that Yahweh has acted through Yehoshua to redeem, restore, and reign. This is not merely information or good advice. It is not merely words of comfort or encouragement. It is the announcement of a King. It is the coronation decree of the universe. It is the enthronement of Yehoshua the Messiah as King of kings and Lord of lords, the only Name under heaven by which humanity must be saved. And because this gospel is so singular, so unmatched, so radiant in its authority and scope, any counterfeit must come not by sheer invention, not by laughable imitation, but by substitution. The danger is not the Fisher-Price toy pretending to be a BMW, because even the blind can see that is false. The danger is the counterfeit BMW, identical in shape, color, and presentation, but with the wrong engine under the hood. The danger is not a fake plane with cardboard wings, but the real plane commandeered by another pilot who changes course. This is what the apostles warned about, what the prophets foresaw, what Yehoshua Himself declared: that another would come in His place, with another name, another spirit, another gospel, and that the world would receive it.
The word “gospel” is often flattened in modern minds to mean little more than “good news.” While that is not untrue, it is incomplete. In Hebrew, the word besorah meant a proclamation of victory, the cry of the messenger announcing that Yahweh has delivered His people and reigns from Zion. Isaiah 52:7 speaks of this gospel as the beauty of the feet that carry the announcement, “Your God reigns.” It is not just positive news; it is the news of enthronement and deliverance. In Greek, the word euangelion carried a different but parallel weight. It was the word used in the Roman Empire for the proclamation of a new emperor. When Caesar rose to power, heralds spread the euangelion across the empire: “Caesar is Lord, Caesar reigns, Caesar is savior.” For the apostles to declare the euangelion of Yehoshua was to announce a rival kingdom, a rival king, a rival savior, a rival authority. It was not advice or philosophy, but war proclamation. The gospel was not simply about what Yehoshua said, it was Yehoshua Himself. His Name, His blood, His cross, His resurrection, His ascension, His enthronement—these were the gospel. The gospel is Yehoshua embodied.
This is why a false gospel cannot simply be a silly story or a bizarre cult. Scientology is not a gospel. New Age spirituality is not a gospel. Atheism is not a gospel. These are counter-ideologies but not counterfeit gospels. A false gospel, by definition, must be able to stand beside the true gospel and claim to be its equal. It must mimic the shape, the message, the imagery, and the proclamation, while swapping the heart. It must be profound in its deception, precise in its corruption, subtle in its substitution. It must enthrone another in place of Yehoshua. This is why Paul’s words are so sharp, why Yehoshua’s warnings so severe, why John and Peter and Jude thunder with urgency. They were not warning about random religions. They were warning about a substitution.
Paul names it directly in 2 Corinthians 11:4: another Yehoshua, another spirit, another gospel. The triad of the counterfeit is clear. Another Yehoshua is Jesus, the Romanized substitute, stripped of the covenant Name of Yahweh, hollowed into a mere title without the prophetic weight of the Name that saves. Another spirit is Satan, the adversary masquerading as light, animating the substitute with counterfeit power. Another gospel is the commandeered proclamation, retaining the outer shape of the cross, the resurrection, the promise of salvation, but directing allegiance to the counterfeit Name and counterfeit spirit. Together, these form the great deception: not the invention of something foreign, but the corruption of what is true. It is not a new plane; it is the same plane with the wrong pilot.
The analogy of the plane brings this home. Imagine a flight set to travel from New York to Jerusalem. The passengers board, the engines roar, the plane takes off. The pilot—Yehoshua—has the course, the authority, the destination. Mid-flight, without the passengers realizing, the pilot is replaced. The new pilot—Jesus—takes the controls. At first, nothing feels different. The plane flies smooth, the announcements sound the same, the attendants walk the aisles as before. But the new pilot gradually shifts the course, degree by degree. The passengers do not notice, because they trust the plane itself, not the one at the controls. Hours later, the plane lands not in Jerusalem but in Rome. The passengers cheer, thinking they have arrived at the promised destination, not realizing they have been diverted by substitution. This is the false gospel: the same plane, the same body, the same message externally, but with the wrong pilot steering to the wrong kingdom.
The Scriptures confirm this again and again. Yehoshua Himself in Matthew 24:4–5 warned that many would come in His Name, claiming to be Him, and would mislead many. In verses 23–25, He warned of false messiahs and false prophets with great signs and wonders to mislead, even the elect if possible. In John 5:43, He declared, “I have come in My Father’s Name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, you will receive him.” He foresaw the substitution, the reception of another claimant with another name. Paul thundered in Galatians 1:6–9 that if anyone, even an angel from heaven, preached another gospel, they were to be accursed. He repeated the curse twice for emphasis, showing the weight of the warning. In 2 Corinthians 11:3–4, he feared that the Corinthians, like Eve, would be deceived, tolerating another Yehoshua, another spirit, another gospel. In verses 13–15, he exposed the reality: Satan disguises himself as an angel of light, and his servants disguise themselves as apostles of Messiah. The deception is not obvious; it is clothed in light.
Peter added his witness in 2 Peter 2:1–2, warning that false teachers would secretly introduce heresies, denying the Master who bought them, leading many astray and causing the way of truth to be maligned. John declared in 1 John 2:18–23 that many antichrists had already come, and that the liar is the one who denies that Yehoshua is the Messiah. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father. In 2 John 1:7–9, he warned of deceivers who refuse to acknowledge Yehoshua Messiah as coming in the flesh, calling them deceivers and antichrists. Jude, too, cried out in Jude 1:3–4 that ungodly men had crept in unnoticed, twisting grace into license and denying the only Master and Lord, Yehoshua Messiah. Together, these voices form a chorus: the apostles were not warning about vague philosophies or strange religions; they were warning about substitution.
This brings us to the working definition of the false gospel. The false gospel is the proclamation of another Yehoshua—Jesus, stripped of Yahweh’s covenant Name. It is the empowerment of another spirit—Satan, masquerading as the Spirit of God. It is the proclamation of another gospel—the commandeered message, the same plane with a different pilot, the same BMW with a different engine. It is not merely falsehood; it is counterfeit enthronement. It is not merely error; it is a rival coronation. It is the enthronement of the counterfeit in place of the true King. And this is exactly what Yehoshua warned of, exactly what Paul pronounced curses upon, exactly what John and Peter and Jude called antichrist.
The conclusion must be drawn with absolute clarity. This is not speculation or theory. This is not interpretation layered upon interpretation. This is the very thing the Scriptures warned us of, the very thing Yehoshua foresaw, the very thing Paul cursed, the very thing John called antichrist, the very thing Jude declared ungodly. Jesus is the false gospel. Jesus is the another Yehoshua. Jesus is the counterfeit name enthroned in place of the covenant Name. The spirit that animates Jesus is not the Spirit of Yahweh but Satan disguised as light. The gospel proclaimed in the name of Jesus is not the gospel of Yehoshua but the commandeered proclamation of a counterfeit kingdom. The prophets, the Messiah, and the apostles all cried out in unison: beware of substitution, beware of the counterfeit, beware of another in His place. And history bears witness that the substitution has happened, the plane has been commandeered, and the masses have landed in Rome instead of Zion. The only hope, the only salvation, the only gospel, is to return to the true Name, the true Spirit, the true Gospel, the true Pilot, the true King: Yehoshua, Son of Yahweh, enthroned forever.
